This will help you prepare for our chapter test on Thursday 3/11. We will work on most questions together as a class and students are expected to fill out each slide to get credit on the assignment. Come to tutorial and office hours if you have any questions or missed class.

Problems 8, 9, 10, 14 will require students to explain their answer. Refer to Chapter 2 Lesson 5 video notes for examples to explain why a graph is or is not proportional.

Fill out slides 3-6 by stating the theoretical probability, completing the table for experimental frequency, and the experimental probability of the predetermined event. A link to each simulator is provided at the top of slide 3-6.

On each slide you will detail what you were thinking for each problem. Show as much work as possible and describe the parts where you got stuck. Write in full sentances.

What confused you? What were you unsure about? Did you forget the definition? Did you work too fast and make a mistake multiplying?

Example: I did not know how to start this questions because I was unsure what it was asking me to do and did not know how to find the mean.

Example: I chose the wrong answer because I thought the lower the number the faster the speed.

Example: I struggled on this question because I forgot what the median was on a box and whisker diagram.

Make sure to follow the directions on each side.

Take your time answering the questions on the benchmark. You can use whiteboards and calculators to answer the questions. We will spend two class days working on this, so pace yourselves and double check answers.

This will be graded in aeries and there are no retakes on benchmarks.
